-My first reaction was "these look way worse than the Madden still," mostly due to the photo of Tasker and Kelly wearing them. The red looked way too bold, and the navy appeared to be bordering on black. However, other shots of the uniforms haven't looked the same, I think the lighting might have just been a little off; so the hate subsided to more rational waves of thought...
-The white helmet looks sharp. I always like the old red one, but this actually looks modern.
-The logo and word "Bills" on the front and back I'm not a fan of. I think it takes away from the otherwise clean uniform. I think minimalism is the way to go, and the simplest uniforms are the ones that tend to hold up the best over time.
-Otherwise, both Jersey/Pants kit seem to be refreshes of the 90's uniforms, but I think shoulder stripes look kind of weird. It's like they couldn't decide to go with the throwback style or the 90's style, and split the difference.
-At some point I'd really like if they worked in similar uniforms with a Navy Blue as the main color. To me, it was a really good color that's going to be a martyr for the old ugly uniforms. But I'm talking about more of traditional navy blue, not the metallic blue steel from the past kits that looked better suited for an Acura TL. I always thought in training camp when they had similar jerseys (traditional navy with no trim or stripes) combined with white helmets (albeit the standing Buffalo), they would have made really nice game uniforms. For this batch, all's they would have to do is replace the royal with navy. Hopefully that's something we see as an alternate down the line, because they would look sharp.
-Also, going forward, it'd be nice if the Bills were more willing to try different combinations such as the aforementioned Navy, previously discussed blue pants, or perhaps the current uniforms with a standing buffalo (the only forbidden combination would be any form of blue on blue). I like the Bills having an identity, but I don't mind trying different combinations if they look good.
Overall, I'll give them a solid B. Not perfect, but way better than the over designed Reebokland jersey's we've been rocking the past 10 years or whatever.
