# 95 & 97 Scott Radecic

(picture a picture of Radecic here)

Radecic a 6-3 243lb linebacker from Linebacker U (Penn State) was drafted in 1984 by the Kansas City Chiefs.  He spent his first three seasons as a Chief.  However, after KC made a trade for Jack Del Rio, Radecic was waived.  The Buffalo Bills claimed him off of waver days before the 1987 season began.  The Bills new defensive coordinator Walt Corey, was the Chiefs defensive coordinator the year before so Radecic was more familiar with the Bills system than the rest of players on the roster.

Following the second game of the 1987 season, the NFL players went on strike. During the strike the Bills held a few unofficial practices. This afforded Radecic an opportunity to get to know his teammates, and share his knowledge of Walt Corey's defense with them.  Shortly after the strike had ended, the Bills acquired a speedy linebacker named Cornelius Bennett (or Biscuit)  in three way trade with the Colts and the Rams.

In his first season in Buffalo, the Bills went 7-8, with Radecic making 81 tackles, 2 int, and 2 fumble recovers with nine starts.  In his second season in Buffalo he started 3 games making 57 tackles, 1.5 sacks and 2 fumble recovers.

Radecic was a versatile LB filling in and playing both inside and outside LB positions.  He was also an excellent special team player, helping make Buffalo one of the best in the NFL on special teams.  He was a part of the 12-4 AFC East Champion Bills in the 1988 season.  He played one more season with the Bills, but his time in Buffalo ended, before the 1990 season  the Bills attempted to sneak him through wavers because of a number of injuries.  The Indianapolis Colts picked him up and thus ended his career with the Buffalo Bills.

Radecic has remained involved with football, he designs and remodels stadiums.  He worked on expanding and renovating Penn State's Beaver stadium, the Carolina Panthers stadium, and Jacobs field .

Scott Radecic is your lesser known Bills Player of the Day-  brought to you by Ten years, because  that's all it took for me to realize that I belong in Buffalo!!! I'm coming back baby yeah!!!

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
