Around SBN: NFL Safety Ryan Clark's Motivational Workout

RT Tyson Clabo and RG Harvey Dahl are arguably the best OT and best OG available in free agency this year and both are Atlanta Falcons. According to this article, the Falcons may not have the money to sign them both with high salaries to go to CB Brent Grimes (tendered and will soon get long term deal)and CB Dunta Robinson (who just got a massive deal last year).

Behind Clabo and Dahl the Falcons have boasted one of the best run blocking offensive lines in football and they are pretty good pass blockers as well.

Clabo should be one of the marquee names the Bills try to go after this off-season and I wouldnt mind Dahl either who is a monster run blocker. In fact, they are both monster blockers. Either would be a great haul.

I saw this yesterday and was pretty surprised. I figured Clabo would be re-signed at 12:01 and that would be that. This guy is a monster at RT. I know Nix said that they aren’t going to be too busy during free agency but this guy is definitely my #1 target if I’m GM.

It’s unfortunate that due to not having any urecent success, the Bills have to overpay greatly for top tier FAs.

Clabo, Miller and Thigpen

Would probably cost the Bills about 70 million for 5 years. Heavily front loaded and should stabilize the offense going forward. Then there is Fitz’s contract, Bell’s contract and Stevie’s contract following FA. That could be another 70 million for five years. All this for an offense when we have been struggling badly on defense. It sounds good, but seems very very unlikely. This is why I say don’t get your hopes up to high, Nix will stand pat and build through the draft and pay loyalty to roster players like Kelsay to build a foundation.
