Haynesworth to the patriots, bush and maybe orton to the dolphins….this is starting to look bleak already. I hope we can get at least some impact signings before the end of the week.

I’m fine with both signings, let those guys spend big money on overrated players. Haynesworth hasn’t done anything in 2 yrs, you think he’s just going to turn it on because he’s in New England? And as far as Bush, I’d much rather the Dolphins have him than Mark Ingram.

uh, yeah, i definitely do. see randy moss, corey dillon, etc. And, on top of it, new england is paying fairly little for him, if i read it right.

The bottom line is that everyone in our conference is adding racehorses, and i feel like we’re just playing around with donkeys at this point.

RT @damienwoody AFC East gonna be tough….my condolences go out to the #Bills for being innocent bystanders

ouch.

Someone needs to ask Damien Woody who will take over for injured players seeing as how the Jets have ZERO depth on that team.

 . . . who helped them to that undefeated* season {and was cut last year}

you’re right, randy moss totally wasn’t worth it. a record setting offensive season and 18 wins weren’t worth it at all.

Haynesworth has two years on contract with the pats. I’d say its a perfect situation for him to make a ton of noise, and fast.

Nesbitt was a quarterback at Georgia Tech, but would probably fit an NFL roster as a running back or receiver. Nesbitt played a variety of positions, including safety, while with Milligan at Greene County.

What’s the word on where this guy will get his shot here?

Year two is upon us.

by Buffalo for Eternity on Jul 28, 2011 7:42 AM EDT reply actions

Maybe as the 3rd/wildcat QB.

This year they are getting rid of the 3rd QB – emergency role rule. Im not saying thats definitly it, but ya never know? He is a pretty good runner tho.

Now attending the Univ. of Hockey.

Saw GT play a few times last season...

And Nesbitt is horrible – it was a triple option offense, so not a ton of emphasis was on the throwing game, but either way, there is no way this guy can play at the nfl level… His best game throwing the ball last season was at Wake (horrible team) where he went 11-21 for 130yds and 2td… For the season last year he was 39/105 for 674yds and 7TD – he’s not worth the plane ride to buffalo

Your assuming

he is being brought in to play qb…

by Xaviermw on Jul 28, 2011 8:53 AM EDT up reply actions

yes...

Completely horrible QB – if it’s another position then the jury is out, but no way at QB…

So Buddy’s 1st priority in FA was to offer Poz a 4 yr (I’m assuming in the neighborhood of $5M per) deal?

I’d have gone to Jacksonville too.

One factor people are forgetting is the new TV deals that are expected to be significantly increased in two years. Per the new CBA players are getting a percentage of all revenues, so there will be more money to be had. Being locked up for six years may keep Poz from renegotiating a better deal than if he was signed for four. Someone else will get a pay raise. Granted that hasn’t stopped people in the past, but it’s part of the equation.

Year two is upon us.

Which would have been VERY generous!!

That’s more money than he’s worth. He was only going to get that because he knew our system.

Does anyone realize that he is now the #3 paid ILB in the LEAGUE!!!!! That is absolute BS!! He is nowhere near the #3 ILB in the league.

Perspective is a valuable thing folks, more valuable than an overpaid average ILB. Time we should all get some.

We may never know!!!

Poz wanted to stay in a 4-3 defense, Buddy wants to switch to a 3-4 defense and Hybrid things along the way. So Buddy offers a four year “Fair” deal and Poz picks a longer contract and more money. Either way it sounds like both Buddy and Poz realize that the best thing to do was to part ways, now Buddy can replace Poz with someone with 3-4 experience, thus helping his plan and Poz can go to a 4-3 defense and be the player he wants to be. I’ll miss Poz in a Bills team photo but it is what it is, right now that is the only blemish. Instead of building depth for our defense we need to bring in a starter and some depth. To hell with Clabo, build this defense.

WHO CARES!!!!

The money Poz was given by the Jags is ridiculous. He IS NOT worth 7 mil. Not even close. If our FO had offered 6 mil a yr, I would be seriously doubting their judgement. I personally was hoping we would not spend more than 5/yr MAX on Poz. He’s not that good. His salary belongs in the 50th percentile of the league’s ILBs. That’s it. Not #3 overall. Anything more than 3.5M/yr is overpaid for him. I was willing to go 5 just because he was ours. Poz, goodbye good luck, and good job OBD for not wasting your money.
