Around SBN: L'Equipe Claims He's Coming To Chelsea On Five Year Deal

Do we have anything to trade for Osi?

They want a first rounder for him but I doubt they get it.  What about shipping a few first rounders to them along with a 3rd like Maybin & Leo?  With Osi in the mix we no longer need to develop Maybin and Leo might be on the way out now with our shinning new 2nd round pick who seems eager to prove his worth.

I could definitely see Fewell being interested in such a trade.  Osi could definitely make the switch to OLB he has the athleticism to make that switch.  Can you imagine on third and long having both Osi & Merriman with Dareus & Williams blowing up the middle...  I'd love to make a move for Umenyiora, he's still young enough to be an impact player for 3-5 more years maybe more.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

You paint a pretty picture

Don’t know anything about the logistics though. Maybe the Giants would be interested in WR help? That seems to be the one thing we actually have enough of.

I think we’d have to give up an actual 1st rounder not one of our old 1st round busts

It’s like a garage sale, our garbage might seem like gold to them… Fewell was part of the staff that drafted both those guys so he might have some interest. The idea was to combine both + a later round draft pick.

i wouldnt give up on leo corner is a very hard position probably the hardest defensive position

i would send at most a 2nd and a 2013 2nd for osi and he is looking for a contract that resembles charles johnson contract i doubt buffalo gives him that and would rather use said picks for the draft

Calling anybody a "career Redskin" when Dan Snyder is the owner is laughable. That dude make moves like he's some kid trading football cards. -greenwood1921

You are absolutely right that the contract issue might be a show stopper but if the guy can convert to OLB and be an impact player I can’t see how we wouldn’t be ready to pay the guy.

Another option could be Cliff Avril

Does anyone know if he got a qualifying offer? He is a RFA but i’m not sure what that means with the new CBA??

This

Trade Torbor, Maybin and a fourth for Osi. This way we get rid of a headache, end a logjam at ILB and fair trade in return for a quality veteran.

I wouldn’t give them anything for a 30 year old Defensive end that is bad at run support and thinks too highly of himself.

Word on the street is

they want a 1st rounder for him and won’t accept anything less. I see it like the Kolb trade, it better be a 1st rounder or a good young player and a 2nd round pick, otherwise no deal.

Again, my idea was two first rounder guys that their D-Coordinator is familiar with along with a later round pick.

Yeah I know

I just don’t see Maybin and Leo plus a later round pick doing it. Kolb was is an unproven player and the trade that finally made it happen involved a young Pro-Bowl CB and a 1st round pick. Osi is a proven Pro Bowler who I’m sure will warrant more than an average on his best day CB and another 1st round pick who is lucky if he even gets to dress gamedays plus a later round pick. Of course you have your point of view and I have mine…..I just don’t see how it could happen is all. I know they are both former 1st rounders but both have shown very little in the NFL over the past few years. Hell Lynch was a former 1st rounder who at least was somewhat successful in the NFL and we only received a 4th rounder for him. I just don’t see it that’s all.

Especially now with so many teams interested

I just would like to see them at least try, show they care (sort of speak)

I can agree with that

I would never fault the Bills for trying

Here, here! Talk about improving the pass rush!

I watch plenty of Giants games, being that I am in the New York City viewing area. Osi has lost a step and a half. I wouldn’t give up too much for him. Think Marcus Stroud here people. You might get a good year, MAYBE a year and a half tops.

I just remember Strahan and his slumps middle and end but boy did he bounce back from those slumps, are you sure that it’s not the same for Osi?

11.5 sacks and 10 forced fumbles and he’s lost a step? I don’t think so

by Chris3035 on Aug 2, 2011 10:36 AM EDT up reply actions

He only had 7 sacks and 4 FF the year before. He is slower and has had several surgeries on his legs. He is a nine year vet with lots of miles on his legs. There is no way i would give up anything more then a 4th rounder for him.

As a giants fan

You have to realize….we win because of the pressure created by our line….Osi had 11.5 sacks and 10 forced fumbles last year….

The other thing is that our GM Jerry Reese is a master of the draft, he wants extra picks
