Next on my list - Kevin Boss
In general I love what Chan has done so far with the team offensively with the exception of the TE position. I'd love to see more production from that position. Obviously our TEs have sucked for quite some time which might explain the lack of TE production.
Kevin Boss is a great blocker and solid in the passing game. At 6'6" 255lbs he'd be a great REDzone target for Fitz. He'd be an upgrade over the guys we have and then when we go with double TE sets with Nelson, we'd really have some big target capabilities. The other nice thing about Boss is the fact that he's still young and has some good years left in the tank.
Seems to me that i haven't read anywhere that Boss was expecting a crazy payday so where's the risk?
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

I am for waiting for next years draft to get a TE.
or maybe FA next year. I dont see the rush, with all the other needs. I would be willing to pick up some other team cuts at the final cuts before the season starts. Let them be the #3 TE and learn the system.

No
I voted no because I hope we use our last roster vacancy to get another offensive lineman.

who is there?
Boss is a better talent than what is left on the line

This
I just read an article on an UDFA the Bills are interested in. Check this out:
A couple of web sites, including the Buffalobills.com message board, had postings in the last week saying that the 6-foot-8, 320-pound offensive lineman and Amherst native (Rich Lapham) had signed with Buffalo, as did a couple of other sites, including sbnationboston.com. However, that is not the case just yet, according to his agent, Noel LaMontagne.
I put up a fanpost on Lapham.

The team can cut the roster filler at any time
If they wanted to add 3 or 4 vets in the next few days, it wouldn’t be hard to dump one of the last 10 or 15 players on the roster….
There isn’t really a last roster spot considering how easy it would be to add somebody….

Don't think it will happen
I just don’t see Chan Gailey adding a pass catching Tight End. This subject keeps getting brought up and I think they are well aware of their lack of talent at the TE spot and to be honest I don’t think they care because his offenses really don’t use TE. Basically David Nelson is our TE.
Who isn't HERE
Its a case of needing more depth on the offensive line. I like Nix philosophy of keeping one slot open. Why waste time and expenses on a player your going to jettison when you’ve decided to add one more at some point in the future.
It isn’t fair to the player that has showed up every day and is cut to make room for someone else. Bring in people that you genuinely want to look at in a competitive situation.

this I can get behind
Very good blocker and redzone target
Calling anybody a "career Redskin" when Dan Snyder is the owner is laughable. That dude make moves like he's some kid trading football cards. -greenwood1921

Boss or Miller good acquistions for Buffalo
I like both Kevin Boss from the Giants or Zach Miller from the Raiders. The pass catching slash line blocking mold of Tight End. From the look of the roster, both Nix/Gailey want unheralded & drop off players to make his offensive roster. No dominating All-Pro or collegiate All- American players saying me-me-me or give me the ball with attitude, ruling the offensive scheme. Both Nix/Gailey want a “my scheme first” type of player to fit his team. For example look at the 1995 Pittsburgh Steelers on offense with Neil O’Donnell at QB, the Dallas Cowboys when Chan became coach, I think that was 1997, and the ’99 Dolphins with Chan at the offensive coordinator spot once again this time with Jay Fiedler at QB. I see a lot of similiarities from the three teams I mentioned that look the same for our football team. If theTE or OL spot are not looked at thoroughly, look for Buffalo to draft these two positions for next year in the draft. Buddy Nix is looking for a basketball player like tight end sort of Antonio Gates mold, and a offensive lineman like Marcus McNeil both from San Diego.
Daniel Graham
If we didn’t make a push for Graham, I’m convinced the Bills simply don’t care for TEs.
Our Wang don’t Hang; it’s a Calloway Wood cause we got Levitre.
No thanks...
Tackle is significantly more important at this point – and I think it’s clear right now that Gailey really isn’t all that interested in using the TE spot as much as we would like him to
As a Giants fan
Boss isn’t anything that great….average TE
