Listen I know every TRUE Bills fan is sick of not making the playoffs. Especially those Bills fans who are old enough to remember the 90s teams. But listen history will repeat itself I promise.

1981 - 1988 we did not make the playoffs in those seven years. I know we are currently in a 11 year drought, and we will add another year on to that.

In 1985 we drafted Bruce Smith and in 1986 thanks to the USFL folding Jim Kelly finally signed with the Bills. We did draft him in the 1983 draft but he went the route of the USFL. Then came the playoffs and Super Bowls.

1988-1996 we made it to the playoffs and went to 4 straight super bowls. We were spoiled but we were unstoppable then. One of the top teams of the 90s. We had the second best record from 1990-99. Which is an amazing feat in itself.

1998-1999 we were in the playoffs with Doug Flutie as the QB. We had an amazing D in these two seasons.

2000-present we did not make the playoffs and this is a very long drought and it does become painful. Just like all the other Bills fans I was certain we would make the playoffs with Drew Bledsoe and a good defense and offense. We only need to beat the Steelers 2nd string team to make the playoffs but nope couldn't do that.  

Remember back in 1985 we drafted Bruce Smith...Well in 2011 we drafted Marcell Dareus. Will Marcell be the next Bruce Smith probably not. But he will help our D line. Him and Kyle Williams could be one of the best one/two punch in the league.

So what does that say for next Aprils draft? We draft a franchise QB. Just like we did in 1983/1986. I will be happy with trading down to get Andrew Luck in next Aprils draft. We know the Panthers and Bengals are going to be the two worse teams in the NFL. Panthers just drafted Newton and Bengals just drafted Dalton. So the number 3 team will be either us or Broncos.

2011-2013 are our rebuilding years. In 2013 or 2014 we will make the playoffs if we get luck.
