Who will be our captains?

Very soon the players will need to vote who will be our four captains. We lost Lee Evans who hold a "C" in his jersey in the last few years. Paul Posluszny also was a captain here. Who you think will be our captains in that new season Bills fans? Some options after the jump.

Star-divide

 DEFENSE:

George Wilson: a special teams captain last season, he will play a major role as our starting SS this season. A players rep in the lockout negotiations, he looks like a lock to have the "C" on his jersey this year.

Kyle Williams: another captain from last year, he's the best player on the team, and just signed his extension. He's the cornerstone of our defense.

Chris Kelsey: he's here a long time, and like it or not, his extension was one of the first moves Nix made him. Also a captain last year, and a guy who looks like a great locker room guy, and a very hardworker.

Terrence McGee: veteran CB and leader of our CB corps.

Nick Barnett: the QB of our defense, he's new in our club, but he have the experience, the skills and the ring, to lead our defense.

Shawne Merriman: steped up this year as a hard worker and recruiting players to our ball club. One of the most respected players of our team around the league.

 OFFENSE:

Ryan Fitzpatrick: his the general of our offense, and has the confidence of th coaching staff and of the players. He lead the offseason workouts and has the starting job guaranteed for this year.

Fred Jackson: another well respected veteran, who is a hard worker and a team leader.

Stevie Johnson: he's a young guy, and maybe is a year ot two to be really considered in captains conversation, but he steped up last season as our best offensive player and is leading our WRs corps right now.

Eric Wood: He's young too, but is the most solid starter on our offensive line. If someone in the line will have the "C" in your jersey, that one will be Eric Wood.

 SPECIAL TEAMS:

Brian Moorman: He's the long time player in our roster, and a rock solid punter, well respected around the league.

PS: if George Wilson continues to be used as a gunner in special teams, no reason to be not have the "C" as a special teams captain like last year.

Only four will be selected, please give your thoughts about who will be those four in the comments section, thanks.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Sorry, I couldn't contain myself...

America, Crunch, Morgan, and Jack Sparrow..? But seriously, I would choose G. Wilson,
K. Williams, Fitz, and Fred. All are deserving of that title for sure.

no seriously, that makes me laugh, cheesy as it is, just funny.

i agree. i may subsitute Moorman for Fred due to his having had it before and all the reasons already listed above in this post.

Six Captains

Last year’ s captains were as follows:

Offense: Edwards and Evans (Hang became a Captain after Edwards was cut)

Defense: Whitner and Poz

Special Teams: Wilson and Mooreman.

haha, how many of those 7 are gone already? Edwards, Evans, Whitner, Poz. If Hang goes too that would be 5 of 7 of last year’s captains gone. Now THAT is a rebuild from the top down.

I say Barnett and Merriman. Fitz and Stevie. Fred is too emotionally volatile, what with his #1 status in jeopardy.
