Bills Sign WR Buster Davis, Waive DB Domonic Cook

Stay connected for news and updates

The scheduled workout between the Buffalo Bills and free agent wide receiver Buster Davis disclosed just a little while ago must have gone well, because the Bills have announced that they've signed the free agent wide receiver. They've also waived undrafted rookie free agent Domonic Cook, meaning that they're still sitting with one open roster spot.

Davis is entering his fifth year out of LSU, but has competed in just 26 games and hauled in just 51 receptions to this point in his career. He joins a loaded Bills receiving corps that is already set through its top four players, and he'll compete for a roster spot at the bottom of the depth chart. He has an uphill climb to make the roster, but there is undoubtedly untapped potential here.

Cook, meanwhile, is a defensive back out of the University at Buffalo that was expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a knee injury suffered in a camp practice earlier this week.
