I have been reading all the posts and articles about the cap and the fact that Buffalo has not spent very much this off season and whether or not they are going to use the money to extend current "productive" players on their roster. Got me thinking that Buffalo in my opinion does not extend people properly when it comes to raises, pay scale. They have not had a starting QB making more money than that players back-up since JP Losman was the "entrenched" starter. What does this say about potential free agent targets and what does this do to the moral of their current players. I am not a fan of holdouts what so ever I think it is selfish and speaks negatively about your character, but we all know even in our own jobs that everyone works at the end of the day for a paycheck. If you are truly more important to your companies bottom line than someone else making more than you, it's only a matter of time before you are unhappy in your situation no matter how nice of a guy you are. If they do not extend Johnson and Fitz before week 1, assuming they both have a semi productive preseason, it may be smarter for them as players trying to take care of their families to finish out the season w/out a contract and test free agency. I am as die hard as they come and rarely talk about my team in a negative fashion, but this simply not right for a team who wants to win and change everyone's opinion about the way the franchise is run. My family owns a very large retail store in Rochester, NY which employs over 40 people so I do have some experience with these types of situations. Please don't nickle and dime your core group of "productive" players Buffalo, it will not be worth the extra cash in the end. Obviously if you agree or disagree I would love to hear it. Thanks guys and go Bills.
