Maybin out to prove his worth - The Buffalo News
"Disappointing," Maybin said about his first two seasons with the Bills. "That's all I have to say: Disappointing. But it's behind me and I'm looking forward now. I don't spend too much time in interviews talking about the past two years and I don't spend too much time thinking about the past two years."

Inside The Bills | Who Stevie is reminding me of
"In the 1998 training camp at Fredonia, there was a wide receiver entering his third year in the league and had done virtually nothing in the league at the position. But that summer it was evident that he was going to change that in a hurry. Former first-round pick Eric Moulds was literally unstoppable in camp practices making big plays each and every practice session."
Buffalo Bills training camp: Brad Smith gets work at QB - NFL - Sporting News

Inside The Bills | Gailey still sees rust
"With all of the season’s preparations crammed into training camp and the preseason coaches have to do a whole lot more in a lot less time and that’s passed on to the players workload as well. So it’s not surprising that they feel like they’re still playing catch up. I’d imagine every NFL club feels that way right now."

"(Chad) Rinehart is going to work over there some and if (Chris) Hairston continues to get better every day it’s going to be a fight on that side of the line over there," he said.

Inside The Bills | Aaron Williams leaves early
"He was walking fine on his way to the locker room as he was escorted by an athletic trainer. We’ll try to get an update on his condition after practice."
Inside The Bills | WR Nelson to be okay in time
"I spent yesterday doing a lot of tests," said Nelson. "We went back to Buffalo and did pretty much every test imaginable and we figured out what it was. I definitely didn’t feel 100 percent out there today. We had to slow down a little bit, but at the same time I’m back out there and it’s going to gradually get back to 100 percent. Today was a step in the right direction."
Inside The Bills | Aaron Williams injury update
"Aaron hurt his hand and they were going to take him in and tell me tonight or tomorrow morning exactly where he was," said Gailey.
Merriman has leg soreness - The Buffalo News
"The Bills practiced in full pads for the first time in training camp. ... WR David Nelson, who returned to practice after experiencing breathing issues, made the play of the day when he bobbled a pass between two defenders before hauling it in. ... CB Terrence McGee blew up a play on a corner blitz in 11-on-11 drills. ... QB Levi Brown had a nice TD strike to TE Mike Caussin"

Spiller eager to bounce back in 2nd year - BuffaloBills.com
"Fast as C.J. Spiller might be, it turns out there's some things the Buffalo Bills running back learned he can't outrun. For starters, there were the preposterously high expectations he had entering his rookie season last year. As a first-round pick, Spiller truly believed he wouldn't miss a beat at the NFL level in matching the prolific production he enjoyed at Clemson."
White signs up for fatherhood - The Buffalo News
"We talk about believing in being a winner and expecting to win instead of hoping to win," he said. "We just hope that these guys continue to believe in themselves because I do believe we have a chance to be a good football team. They have to believe it and go play that way."
Bills' march to progress may travel winding road - The Buffalo News
"Stop whining and pay attention. Between Sept. 25 and Dec. 11 the Bills play seven games against teams that are serious contenders for the Super Bowl. We'll find out how much backbone this team has grown in the Chan Gailey era."
Inside The Bills | CB Cook to I-R
"Cook, who was waived/injured earlier this week cleared waivers. That means he reverts back to Buffalo’s roster where he has been placed on injured reserve. The U.B. cornerback will rehab his knee injury that he suffered on just the third day of camp practices, but is not eligible to return to the Bills in any active capacity this season."
Johnny White's wild ride - BuffaloBills.com
The week that NFL players could report to work was the same week Bills fifth-round pick Johnny White’s girlfriend Margaret Batts was due with their first child. White reported to One Bills Drive to get his playbook the Tuesday before training camp and meet with coaches while his agent negotiated his rookie contract with Buffalo. By the end of the week White’s contract was just about finished. The only problem was so was his girlfriend’s pregnancy. On Friday morning White got the call from back in Asheville, North Carolina.

I don't know if Gailey can get us to a SB,
but there is no doubt in my mind that he is the best coach at handling the media we have had since Levy. When you listen to him speak at the after practice press conferences, he has a confidence we haven’t seen in a Bills HC in a long time. Answers are straight forward, when appropriate, and come quickly. You don’t get the feeling he is searching for the answer because he not sure about it. The same is true when his answers are evasive. You know he answered that way because he meant..“It is none of your business…or…I don’t want to tell you because it might hurt the team”. If Gailey is as good on the sideline as he is in front of the camera, we just might have our coach of the future, presently.

If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear.
Chan Gailey is the best thing that has happened to this team in a long time.
Everyone should bookmark the 2010 season as the beginning of a serious rebuild into a noteworthy transition of an NFL franchise. He will turn this offense around and make it very unpredictable.
Now
The defense is what we should all keep are eye on. This is the unit that has fought to 7-9 , 6-10 and 4-12 seasons. Our offense during those periods were inept at producing and Gailey will sure resolve that issue, it is the defense that needs to be strengthen while Gailey turns this offense around. We are full of playmakers on offense, just not the household name kind.
The only knock with Gailey is how long does he plan to do both. Head Coach the team and OC the offense with understudy Curtis Modkins. That double duty shouldn’t go on forever. Gailey IMO has already surpassed Williams, Mularky, Jaroun and Perry F. Some may take the wait and see approach, I plan to sit and enjoy. He has it goin on right now. Just offering a different perspective on what I have seen.
YOU ARE OUT of you kuku fufu mine craker laker Flaber baber FUNKI chunki brain. WE want to winn every year -- abayarde
Maybin?
I just cannot see him making this team. At 228 lbs, where can he play? ST gunner, free saftey, other? I find it hard to believe that he is on 2nd team defense. He’s taking snaps from players who need it. What a waste of a draft pick. He should give back all that money and apologize to Ralph saying…I just am not worth the time and effort invested to be an NFL player. I hope he has a diploma…oh that’s right he has all that money he’s been given to exercise.
I’m probably a sap, but I feel a little sorry for Maybin. It sounds like he’s really trying hard. He’s been trying to get extra help by picking Daryl Talley’s brain. He certainly LOOKS to be in good shape. And yet Ed Wang is tossing him around like a rag doll. Very sad.

I hate to beat a dead horse
But when Maybin says the physical part of the game has never been a problem for him and that he just needs more time on the field, he has to be detached from reality.
Just saw this Bills-related content
at the NFP.
Dan Pompei, in his NFP Sunday Blitz wrote (first item under ‘Things I Didn’t Used To Know’):
The Bills have a crowd at the receiver position after the acquisition of Brad Smith. The former Jet joins Lee Evans, Steve Johnson and Robert Parrish, so don’t be surprised if the Bills part ways with Evans. The veteran had a down year in 2010 with only 37 catches, and he could have some trade value. Interesting parties have been sniffing around.
He’s more of a columnist than a beat guy, so I don’t know if the rumor has any legs.
But tres interresant, no?
Evans has a big contract, if he could be flipped for a reliably studly pass rusher, or RT…

Puts a different perspective on the Buster Davis signing if there’s anything to it.
Also makes the battle at the bottom of the WR depth chart between Roosevelt-Donald Jones- Easely-et. al. a bit more interesting if there could be an unforeseen WR spot open.
