Buffalo Bills Announce Six Team Captains For 2011
We're less than four hours away from football, folks. When the Buffalo Bills square off against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium today, they'll be doing so under the leadership of six new team captains.
Offensively, the Bills will be looking up not only to starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick - a captain for the first time - but also running back Fred Jackson, a man routinely passed over for playing time in previous seasons, but who is now the team's featured running back.
Defensively, veteran linebacker Andra Davis is a highly knowledgeable and well-respected player, and he'll serve as a captain alongside the team's best player and the heart and soul of the defense, lineman Kyle Williams.
On special teams, punter Brian Moorman and safety George Wilson will continue to serve as captains, as they have in previous seasons. Again, both are highly respected veterans in the Bills' locker room.
210 minutes from now, those six players will be leading the Bills into battle at Arrowhead. Who else has goosebumps?

Who said I was a professional journalist? I’m not. I have a day job. And my hair is very short. :)

I don't think anyone of them can be compared to Ray Lewis
or Tom Brady as captains. What the heck, new regime, new leadership. As Gailey said, none of these new guys are very vocal leaders, but great leaders by example. Welcome to Bills football where everyone is a leader by example, until this year.
YOU ARE OUT of you kuku fufu mine craker laker Flaber baber FUNKI chunki brain. WE want to winn every year -- abayarde

I was staring at the depth chart last night for like an hour. I have never been as optimistic for a season than I am today, I think we are going to see vast improvements on both sides of the ball. That my friends should translate to wins!
Meh
No goosebumps. Just hope that the players improve and that nobody gets hurt, particularly on the O-line. 5-11. Bring it.
Strap it on!

As a Chiefs fan, I'm impressed by the reports on your improved run defense.
If Dareus is as good as advertised, he and Williams are going to cause major problems for our C because they have size AND quickness. Weigmann isn’t a) large or b) a spring chicken…your linebackers and ends have to seal the edge, though. Both of our OT’s (and all of our TE’s) are above-average run blockers.
On third downs, your offense will give our defense fits because Fitz will throw anywhere, your wideouts run solid routes (looking at you, Johnson and Parrish) and Jon McGraw always seems to be the 3-3-5 guy on the field at that time. Just locate #47 and watch him get burnt, lol…
This should be an awesome game to watch. Football is back! Good luck and may the best team win.

I just hope we keep flash to under 100 yards.

@#&% Comcast and Verizon!!!
My internet feed is down so slow it’s like dial up on Comcast, and I’m not even getting the local Baltimore channels the last couple days, and Verizon doesn’t have a DSL available in my area so I can’t switch to Direct TV either….
Looks like I have to go find a local joint here that will have the Bills/Chiefs on during the Raisins/Squeelers… Good luck with that!!!
Optimistic??? Of course I am!! I'm a Bills fan, and as of right now, we are undefeated on the regular season!!!
Things are truly looking up!!!
Theres a bills backers bar nearby use the main website of the bills to find it. You do not need dsl if you want direct tv though.

Who else has goosebumps?
I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE…… I have been at work since 11pm eastern time … looking everything up B.Bills related (Like I am some college student working on a Final Paper) while slowly watching the hands on the clock move backwards. Then I get mandated to work an additional 8 hours and it seem as though 1300hrs will NEVER EVER get here … I think i am about to have a anxiety attack before the first game begin … GOOSEBUMPS .. ha ..
That's utterly preposterous!
File a Union grievance!! Power to the people!
