What a Sunday to be a Bills fan! The Bills are coming off one of the most convincing victories in years, and are coming home to Buffalo for their season opener. Last weeks dismantling of the Kansas City Chiefs has brought some much needed attention to western NY. Many experts are asking if the Bills are for real, and the answer of that question just might come on Sunday.
Their opponent, the Oakland Raiders, are coming off a short week with a long travel day coming from the west coast, but none the less is 1-0 looking for for their best start since 2003. Hue Jackson's bunch is coming into this game striving to gain the identity of a bully. Watching them last week I can say they are doing a good job trying to become one. You see a lot of anger in their play. Much of that anger you see even after the whistle has blown.
Most of us on Buffalo Rumblings have had this game circled since the schedules came out as a game we should win and that hasn't changed one bit for any of us, especially after last week, but the Raiders are going to be tough! Watching them last week you saw how much power the DL possesses and we were reminded how good McFadden is running the ball. However, I'm positive the Bills will be good enough at stopping the run to win, and our offensive line will be efficient enough as well. Watching both teams last week I'm positive the Bills will win handily. We are defn the more polished team, and actually the much more talented team offensively and defensively. We just have to look this bully in the eye, give him our best shot, and make him cry. I expect a freak storm of tears, moving east to west, to wreak havoc over the plains Sunday night.
