Heading into Week 1, many Buffalo Bills fans were boldly predicting a close win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead Stadium. They got far more than they expected when the Bills throttled the defending AFC West champions, 41-7.
After that, predictions have gotten considerably bolder this week, despite the Bills taking on a very tough and (apparently) underrated Oakland Raiders squad.
Put this matchup in a vacuum, and I don't think there's any question it favors the Raiders. We have no evidence right now that the Bills are ready to handle a team with Oakland's playing style. We have very little evidence that the Bills have a true home-field advantage; on the contrary, the Bills have won just eight home games in their last three seasons.
Still, football is not played in a vacuum, and circumstantially, I think this matchup favors the Bills. The Raiders are a highly penalized group, a problem which could be exacerbated by their very short work week. This won't be the cakewalk of Week 1, but I'll still take the Bills by a final score of 24-20.
Let's hear your predictions, Bills fans!
