The Bills play hardball with Fred Jackson this year and don't do deal before next season starts

And then Fred gets peeved and decides to play out contract and leaves in FA.

Only to be signed by the Pats! Belichik goes after proven AFC East guys he likes - see Antowain Smith, Sammy Morris, Wes Welker acquisitions in prior years.

With Bills focused on locking up (as they should be) Ryan and Stevie now I hope they still figure out a way to get Freddie done in offseason.

If buffalo.really want him they could franchise him until he decides to sign a contract. Freddy should be less public about it. He needs to sit down with fitz and stevie and be told how to handle contract talk during the season.

I doubt that Freddie will be quiet....

…but I doubt that he will raise a stink during the season either. The ethic of this team seems to have shifted since Chan arrived. It’s a bit scary, but there are a lot of Patriot-esque similarities between us. One of them is the measured (tempered) interface with the media. A good sign, me thinks.
