So as always even though Power Rankings don't actually mean anything I rabidly look up where the Bills are ranked every week. The first two weeks we seemed to be underrated, but now I think we might be overrated. So I took the Week 4 ESPN rankings and looked at the schedule the rest of the way to try to get a feel for how good I think our team actually is compared to where we rank right now. Results after the jump.

I created an excel spreadsheet and made an entry for every team on the Bills schedule, accompanied by that team's current power ranking. Then since I am not confident with the Bills 6th overall ranking I created a column for each potential power rankings from 1 to 32. I then calculated win, loss or tie based on the opponents power ranking for all 32 rankings for the bills. Obviously we're guaranteed 3 wins at this point. The interesting thing (at least I found it interesting) was that assuming our #6 ranking is correct we will enter Boston in week 17 as 15-0 and will be trying to go undefeated against the Patriots. The spreadsheet as a whole was very large, so I just copied and pasted a summary list of the results here with a couple comments after the list:

First of all some of these records are pretty amusing, because we have 2 ties, but oh well. While I think we are one of the best teams in the league right now, I think as the season continues we're more of a 10-16 ranked team. So in that case we should expect somewhere between 8 and 12 wins. I hope some of you fellow rumblers are as nerdy as myself and will enjoy looking at some arbitrary data.
