I have just got of the phone to Mrs Muzza34 who has just had it confirmed by her employer that they are sending her and her strong and handsome husband to the US to attend a medical conference in Boston next year (October 2012 I think). All up with there events we will have 3 to 4 weeks in the US.
Her words were: " You can go to Buffalo to see your new boyfriend Fitz play!!!" (you may have heard the screaming from Buffalo)
While she is having caviar in champagne in Boston I have a leave pass to see as many Bills and Sabres games as I can cram into the 3 to 4 weeks.
While I will ask for the best wing/bars/accomodation etc. What I want to experience at least once or twice, if possible, is a proper tailgating session. When I saw my only live game in Washington I saw the carpark full of Bills fans tailgating but was reluctant to to the "hey I am an Aussie, do you mind if I throw a shrimp on ya barbie?" But they were going off and it looked like awesome fun.
So if any of you can take pity on an out-of-continent I would really appreciate it.
Three things I can guarantee you:
1. I love a beer/rum/scotch/...or whatever you guys are drinking.
2. If you are attacked by a crocodile, I will wrestle it. It is what we Aussies do best, with the exception of point 1.
3. I may cry when I go into the Ralph...it will be a religious occasion for me, but I would appreciate it when I say "that I have something in my eye" you pretend to believe me or look away.
Seriously though, I am looking forward to meeting you guys over a brew or two. I plan to do a bit of a trip diary and maybe post it here if it is worthy (that is, if the court doesn't order the stalking of Fitz stories to be redacted)
cheers and beers
