With all the discussion about regime change and roster changes over the past two years, I began to consider what actual changes the new regime has brought in on offense. And, in my view, the talent is quite "offensive"! Check out the list after the jump.
On the left, you see they players aquired by the much maligned Jauron regime. On the right, the players added by the new regime. In almost every case, I view the list of players brought in by Nix a downgrade from what we already had under jauron.
| Jauron | Nix | ||
| QB1 | Edwards | Thigpen | |
| QB2 | Fitz | Smith | |
| RB | Lynch | Spiller | |
| RB2 | Jackson | White | |
| WR1 | Evans | Jones | |
| WR2 | Johnson | Easley | |
| WR3 | Parrish | D.Nelson | |
| LT | Bell | Wang | |
| LG | Levitre | Rinehardt | |
| C | Hang | Wrotto | |
| RG | Wood | Urbik | |
| RT | Butler | Hairston | |
| TE | Nelson | Chandler |
The Levy/Jauron/Modrak regime was much-maligned as being unable to identify and acquire talent. But, to my eye, the left list seems far superior to the right. Perhaps the bigger problem was the utter lack of any kind of offensive coordinator for what seemed like an eternity.
Poll
What do you think Bills fans, after looking at the list of offensive players acquired by each regime, which one brought in the better talent?
