We are now into week 17, and the picks become more and more important after 240 potential correct picks, here are the standings. By the way, we are not that bad this since most of us have cleared the 50% mark.
- Ron 154
- silverstreak 151
- WABillsfan 150
- krytime 147
- Joe P. 147
- Kurupt 140
- poz 120
Needless to say, we all hope the Dolphins spoil the Jets playoff hopes horribly, and by extension will quiet down Mr. Ryan for a while, say 3 months at least? The Seahawks and Steelers also receive the groups stamp of approval, and possibly victory.

WABillsfan's Pick Justifications:
49ers- Even though they have no need to play hard, Harbaugh will still get the scrubs to lay a beat down
Bills- Total homer pick, especially since there isn't much for the Pats to gain by trying to hard other than getting Tom the record. He will start, but I bet if he has a pick by the 2nd, he gets sat
Saints- They want Brees to keep that record, ergo, beat downs in the big easy
Colts- They look like a real team now, and the Jags sure do NOT
Raiders- Hue Jackson ends to tenure of Norv Turner with a classic SD-Oak tilt filled with penalties and dead bodies
Falcons- They need a win, and the Bucs blow
Chiefs- Football Jesus got a bit wet on a slip walking on water last week and he goes under this time
Seahawks- Cards are getting better, Hawks are superior regardless, Cards lose
Cowboys- I think Romo gets the last monkey off his back, and Ryan shows why he is always going to be employed somewhere as a DC
Ron's Pick Justifications:
Lions: The Packers have nothing to gain by beating the Lions and a lot to (potentially) lose by exposing starters to unnecessary injuries. I expect Green Bay to play it safe and for the Lions to go all out.
Texans: The Texans need a win in the worst possible way and should have former Bills head coach Wade Phillips back to run his complex defensive scheme.
Jaguars: I suspect that Bill Polian will offer whomever is playing QB for the Colts a lot of under-the-table cash to throw 3+ INTs in order not to further endanger draft position.
Dolphins: Miami gave New England a scare and the Patriots don’t have the anchor more colloquially known as Mark Sanchez dragging them down.
Vikings: The Bears without Cutler are almost as bad as the Colts without Manning.
Patriots: It doesn’t matter whether or not the Patriots have anything to play for in terms of the playoffs. This promises to be an absolute pounding.
Saints: Brees needs to stay about 200 yards ahead of Brady to keep the single season passing record that he just acquired. Since the Patriots and Saints play at the same time (and that Brady gets to face one of the worst secondaries in the league) Brees will need to put up at least 300 passing yards.
Eagles: The Eagles have actually turned into a pretty good team now that it doesn’t matter anymore.
49ers: Because the other team is St Louis and is simply playing out the string while the team awaits a new head coach.
Seahawks: Why did we trade Lynch again?
Falcons: The Bucs aren’t just the worst team in the league right now; they might be worse than the 0-16 Lions. What a way to disintegrate… Meanwhile the Falcons need to build momentum going into the playoffs.
Ravens: Baltimore won’t have to stoop much to play down to the Bengals. This game has 13-10 written all over it.
Steelers: The Browns are comically bad at this point.
Broncos: Tebowtime returns! While the Chiefs did axe that goober Haley the players and schemes remain the same.
Chargers: Rivers is really good in December, losing (I think) only 4 December games in his career. What are the odds that he loses 2 in a single season?
Giants: The big talking Ryan brothers finish the year 0 for 3 against the Giants.
Kurupt's Pick Justifications:
Pats - no chance...
49ers - rams looking to secure the top pick
Lions. - Detroit plays to avoid the Saints.
Vikings - zzzzzz
Dolphins - Rex can cry all offseason now
Panthers - same as I've been saying. They will be the sexy preseason playoff team next year.
Krytime's Pick Justifications:
Philadelphia - with nothing to prove. Still laughing - Dream Team
Atlanta - Could be Raheem's last game as a head coach?
San Francisco - Would woulda thought SF was so good prior to the season?
Chicago - Ugly game in store for ya here. Unwatchable?
Detroit - Too bad GB has nothing to play for. Coulda been a good game.
NY Giants - Just rooting against Dallas here.
Carolina - Regular season ending let down game for NO?
Houston - I have no reason to care for this game at all.
Cincinnati - Looking forward to seeing this one. Rooting for Cincy too, and don't know why?
Pittsburgh - Poor Browns' fans. Trust me, I know how you feel.
New England - See directly above
Jacksonville - How in the world can Indy take a chance winning this game? If I'm Bill Polian, I am having a mandatory teem NYE party with TONS of booze; no one gets to leave until 4:00 AM.
Miami - God I feel dirty rooting for Miami.
San Diego - Typical SD game looking like world beaters near the end of the season.
Kansas City - Is the Tebow run over?
Seattle - Who cares?
Joe P.'s Pick Justifications:
Packers - Only way Packers lose is if they rest their starters
49ers - The 49ers D will score enough points to win this game without the offense
Fins - From hells heart, I stab at thee. It is really going to suck when the Fins take our QB in the draft.
Vikings - Viking will win this game and lose out on the top OT because of it
Pats - New year, same result
Saints - A Big Ugly in the Big Easy
Eagles - Sure-now they start playing
Colts - They will still get Luck, right?
Texans - Toss up game
Falcons - Tampa has packed it in
Bengals - This is their SB and they are at home vs a division rival.
Steelers - Browns stink
Broncos - Have to see what Tebow does in the playoffs
Raiders - Picking the Raiders because I want Turner fired
Hawks - Beast mode runs wild
Dallas - What would an NFL season be without the Cowboys losing a first round playoff game
Poz's Pick Justifications:
Silverstreak's Pick Justifications:
Pats - I expect Brady to play and attempt to avenge the earlier loss in the year.
Lions - I don't think Rodgers plays and that helps out the lions as they win their last game of the season.
49ers - 9ers are the better team
Dolphins - in the upset the Ryan ship goes under and there are actual talks if him being canned
Bears - again the bears are just the better team, although it being the last game i wouldn't be surprised if it went the other way.
Saints - vying for that bye, they get the win but still lose the seed
Redskins - I believe shanahan that his job is safe, but he sure could use a win.
Jaguars - there's talk of blowing this game on purpose, but I think the jags have the better defense ti win this one
Titans - Houston can't get a better seed so they rest most of there guys to get ready for the playoffs
Falcons - atl hasn't been great but they should beat a bad TB team
Ravens - cincy comes oh so close but stillnmisses the playoffs with this lose.
Steelers - because the other team is Cleveland
Broncos - god shines on tebow and the stars align to get tebow in the playoffs
Raiders - how did rivers make the pro bowl?
Seahawks - just a hunch
Giants - somehow they win most of the big games, this would be no different.
