Buffalo Bills A 50-1 Shot To Win 2013 Super Bowl
The first odds listing is out for the 2013 Super Bowl. That's right - you can now bet on next season's big game. The Buffalo Bills are not the longest shot in the books, either.
The LVH SuperBook, which was known by the name of the Las Vegas Hilton, posted the odds Tuesday. The favorite is the Green Bay Packers, who finished 15-1 in 2011 but failed to advance to the NFC Championship game. Following them are the New Orleans Saints and the New England Patriots.
Buffalo is in a group of teams receiving 50-1 odds. Kansas City, Miami, Oakland, Arizona, Seattle, Tennessee, Denver, Minnesota and Tampa Bay join the Bills as the second tier of teams. Four teams have a worse chance, according to the odds.
Would you put money on the Bills to win the Super Bowl at 50-1? More pressingly, are the 50-1 odds too short for a team that hasn't been to the post-season since 1999?

Those are suprisingly good odds. I would put a 20 spot if I were in Vegas. It would be lost money, but hey, why not. If I am going to the sports book and placing lighting bets on college basketball I might as well throw some dough away on the Bills.
It's the 2nd worst in the NFL.

50-1 is too low
Not good odds at all. If all teams were equal, bet would be likely to pay back at 32-1. I wouldn’t take less than 20-1 on any team – even the Packers or Patriots. It would probably take at least 100-1 or 150-1 odds before a bet on the Bills becomes worthwhile. Wait for the line to increase before laying any money down.

I think I would be more likely to bet on the Rams, even if the odds were the same as the Bills. They play in a much weaker division and have a QB who can carry the team on his back when necessary.

He carried the team to 14 losses this year.

Not going to say he can carry his team.
But he only played in 10 games.

If I had to choose between Bradford and Fitzpatrick to carry the team on their back, I would choose Bradford.

I'm curious
What do you suppose the odds are for the Bills making the playoffs?

While one would expect a team as awful as the Bills to have higher odds than 50:1, teams rise up from nowhere EVERY year and compete for championships as it the nature of this league teaming with parity. You can become good in this league almost by accident- don’t give me the 5-year plan garbage- the NFL is built for rapid improvement. Another last place season and it’s off with their heads- the believe/ don’t believe garbage is over and results are all that matter from this point forward. It’s long overdue.
"There's only one C.J. Spiller." -Buddy Nix
The five year plan is not how many.of you see it. Its also not how you consider a rebuild. A five year plan works as follows. Your trying to win a superbowl not make it to the playoffs. Buffalos plan if using a true five year plan should be a goal of getting to thE playoffs by year three. When you get to the playoffs your not done rebuildimg yet. If buffalo makes the playoffs next season and undr a fivr year plan they should. They will.not be done renuilding. Theirs a diffrence between playoff contenders every year and being a superbowl contender every year.
