No real surprises there.

If I were to pick top-tier players, they’d be those guys. Wood doesn’t have enough film from the year to really consider him. I might put Dareus there, if the NTs in our division weren’t so awesome across the board.

I love the description for the safeties.
Byrd, our All-Pro Second Team Free Safety was always making this team as he put together his best season to date. He’s partnered by his Buffalo teammate Wilson, who never reached the levels of his breakout 2009, but did enough to hold off the challenge of … well, there wasn’t a serious challenge.

Just goes to show that we have the best safety pairing in the AFC East by a very wide margin. I’ve said it (many times) before and I’ll say it (many) times again: Byrd and Wilson are the best safety pairing in the NFL.

no way. put a potato on the field next to ed reed and the ravens still have the best safety pairing in the NFL

Its fun to think quarterback, but i think the odds of nix taking one in the first are close to 0%.

Oh I agree that Reed is by far the best safety in the league.

But I’d put up Byrd and Wilson (at their best) and think they’d win out against the Raven’s pairing. However it would be very close, just because of how awesome Reed is.

At the very least you have to say that Byrd and Wilson are in the top 3 pairings in the league.

There was an article over on the ravens sb nation site about how ed reed has been more of a liabilty than an asset this tear.
