Voted draft 2
This draft, I want to see a sack artist in the first. Second I’d like the best available WR, then after that I’d like defense.
At least right now, in January. That is subject to change once the draft rolls around.
I think that the team’s biggest need is on defense, as we’re very low on sacks/QB hits/pressuring the QB in general. Like others have pointed out, we’re giving up too many points, and then asking Fitz to play from 2 scores down before the first half is even over. Leading, of course, to us abandoning our strongest suit, our run game, because it won’t generate the quick score. Look at what Denver did with a charismatic, but sub average (traditionally, at least), QB, but a stellar defense. As long as they were forcing 3s and outs, they could come back from anything. Imagine what we could do, with an average to above average QB (yes, I’m considering Fitz in the 10-15 overall range here) and a stud defense?

I voted draft #1
I would love to the Bills take an LT in the first. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Curry go in the first round, so getting him in the second is like getting two first round picks. I also like that you took a developmental QB in the mid rounds.

same
I like the idea of a mid round QB too. but I don’t think Thomas will even be drafted. A guy like Osweiler or someone with a better arm, accuracy.

Agreed......Osweiler would be a nice pickup in the 5th round

He'll be gone long before the 5th imo

Unlikely
guys like him fall in the draft every year to the later rounds.
It's close to Midnight, somethings lurking in the backfield. Under the Bright Lights he cuts so fast it almost stops your heart. You start to scream, but he's in the End Zone before you make it. You're Paralysed.

6’8 guys with cannon arms, solid mobility, and obvious leadership skills? those guys fall every year? no. no they dont.
someone will take a chance on osweiler long before the 5th round simply bc of his incredible natural ability. hes got a lot of things to work on, and hes a risk because of it, but the talent is there for him to be a top5 NFL quarterback.
Its fun to think quarterback, but i think the odds of nix taking one in the first are close to 0%.
Rodgers fell from a possible #1 pick to the Packers in the later 1st round, so
it is certainly possible Osweiler falls to the early part of the 5th…..that said, I wouldn’t be upset if the Bills used a 4th on him either.

osweiler is a first round talent. he hurt himself by coming out this year instead of staying i think, but the talent level is a constant. the only thing separating him from being an obvious first round pick is his experience. lack of experience wont hurt his draft stock that much, ultimately he still turns into the same pro quarterback with the right coaching.
i dont think theres a chance he drops that far, and id hardly be shocked if he finds himself in the top 45 picks.

I would be shocked if he went that high
If everything falls into place for Osweiler, meaning he develops as a quarterback mentally, has time to work at his trade and falls into a perfect fit for him physically (Steelers, Patriots, Raiders) he does have the talent to eventually fight for a starting job in the NFL. However, he rates much closer to a developmental later round pick and reminds me some of Cardinals QB John Skelton.

Skelton was was taken in the 5th round….CBS,currently projecting him as a 2-3 round pick, had this to say
NFL scouts will certainly have to be cautious when projecting Osweiler’s rapid development into the NFL. With only one season as the starter and having played that season in a relatively simple offense, Osweiler is clearly a project. He does, however, possess the athletic tools to work with and has been recognized throughout his career as a hard worker. Given time to acclimate, he could emerge as a legitimate starting caliber NFL quarterback and one who perhaps could be found at a palatable point in the draft.

Big guy….. big arm…….. runs the spread….. good character…… accurate………

is a lt that important?
It is, but we are good enough there right now. The best LT in the league wins us 0 more wins this year. Pass rusher or bust in this draft.

maybe it is just me....but I would rather you didn't use pass rusher and bust in the same sentence
when talking about the Bills next draft pick :-)
And I couldn’t disagree more with
The best LT in the league wins us 0 more wins this year.
All the Fitz apologists point to our pass protection as a major reason Bad Fitz shows up. Let’s find out what Fitz can do….no more excuses.

thats funny
But true. But i would rather give Fitz a wri if fa and make him prove it that way. And get a pass rusher in the draft.

I would really like the BJ Cunningham pick.
everytime I have watched him he hasn’t dropped a pass. He reminds me of stevie except with a bigger body and less drops.
If I could mix and match
1- Upshaw
2- Curry
3- Norman
4a- Acho (no choice given here)
4b- Childs. Cunningham is a short to intermediate possession receiver, not what Bills need
5a- Kroger
5b- Thomas
6- Gideon. Or I’d just let the pick skip over before taking Paige-Moss
7- Nix. Keenum’s got a tough road ahead.

Darren Thomas?
I heard he may not be drafted. What do you think of him?

Clipboard holder - nothing more

He's got talent, and I think he'll be drafted late
He’s raw though. All the negatives with Cam Newton’s style of offense, except exacerbated.
In this situation, it was between Thomas and Matt Reynolds. I think Reynolds is a guard, and Buffalo has enough of those.

I like the 1st one
But I’d prefer a high potential QB like Coleman, Harnish, Osweiler etc.
Kenny Powers is back!
Apologies all
Again, all I can say I wow. I did not mean to disrespect anyone. But apparently many here take this exercise extremely important. Sorry. I see it s a total waste of time, especially given the prematurity of the timing. That is all I was trying to say. Sorry again,
