The salary cap was created in order to create parity in the NFL - which it has. What hasn't changed since the salary cap is how many coaches get fired. Every year it seems like a third of the league gets a new coaching staff.
Luckily for the Bills they get to face 5 teams with brand new coaches next year.
I think 2012 is going to be an interesting year. I think the Bills will win a lot of games because they get to play Kansas City, Jacksonville, St. Louis, Miami (x2) and Indianapolis who will all have new coaches. Some teams do well in their first year as a head coach (seriously, i've heard this, it's just not a Buffalo thing) so we should get 4 or 5 wins out of that group. At least one would think.
Then we get to play some teams that aren't very strong like Seattle, Tennessee, Arizona. Sure all of them could beat us, heck Tennessee beat us this year, but those aren't games that you look at and say the Bills will definitely lose.
So I think it's going to be interesting because we have a real good shot at winning anywhere from 7-10 games. The problem with that is it won't be against quality opponents so we won't have a real good indication of how good this team is unless we look at NE, San Fran and the Jets.
Next year could be a year in which we break into that wild card spot, I just hope it's not on the base of a sand foundation.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
