Around SBN: Following UFC 146 Loss, Jason 'Mayhem' Miller 'Done' in UFC

A reader put me onto this gem: Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick downed a 4.5-pound (72-ounce) steak in 49 minutes less than two weeks ago. (Check the bottom of the page.) Is he even allowed to do that without a full beard?

I guess eating breakfast with the O-Linemen trained him well.

The fastest time was here:

3/24/08 Joey Chestnut 8:52 mins 220 24 Vellejo, CA

I wonder if that is the same dude that is in the hot dog eating contests.

That ain’t eating – it’s inhaling!

.

When the job is finished no one remembers how long it took, just how well it was performed.

Yeah, that’s the same Joey Chestnut.

Irresponsible journalism. Did you corroborate it was actually Ryan Fitzpatrick?

And the legend of the bearded QB grows.

Some of the weights and ages there scare me… 358lbs + 57 years old + 72 oz steak = dead.

It would take me an entire weekend to eat a 72oz steak.

I have a friend who tried to do this at this exact restaurant and ended up throwing up in a trashcan 3/4 of the way through. This is pretty impressive.

I KNEW there was a reason I liked the guy!

I thought it was the genius intellect and the guts for wearing a beard that CAN’T let his helmet sit right. Turns out it’s his ability to knock off three pounds of beef in an hour. Who knew?

If Ryan Fitzpatrick does not take the Bills to the Big Game, ever, I will run through Harvard's campus wearing a Yale jersey. I am that sure. Or that crazy.

i tried this

and failed. not because of size, but because of time. under an hour is impressive. the trick is not chewing
