After hearing about the firing of George Edwards, promotion of Wannstedt and the signing of LB Scott McKillop, it got me thinking about what our defense will look like next year.

Although Buddy Nix would prefer to run a traditional 3-4, our roster doesn't have the personnel to fit into it. As it was previously mentioned, Wannstedt has always run a 4-3. Being from, and living, in Pittsburgh all of my life I am obviously a Pitt fan. McKillop had a very good Senior season as Wannstedt's starting MLB and I believe he will bring very good depth to the LB's.

This is how I feel the defense will look if we stay with a 4-3:

• DE - Chris Kelsay
• DT - Kyle Williams
• DT - Marcel Dareus
• DE - Dwan Edwards
• OLB - Nick Barnett
• MLB - Kelvin Sheppard
• OLB - Arthur Moats
• CB - Aaron Williams
• FS - Jairus Byrd
• SS - George Wilson
• CB - Drayton Florence

Not 100% sure about Moats playing OLB in a 4-3 or Edwards playing DE, but with the current roster they are who I penciled in. Looking ahead to the draft compared to the above line-up, DE and OLB would be our biggest needs.
