So ive been reading this site the past few days, and taking in the different accounts and opinions as to why the Bills defense is doing so badly. Some say the defense gave up on the offense, some say the offense gave up on the defense, ive heard its Fitz's turnovers, ive heard its the coaches fault, ive heard its the players being not talented enough; and personally I think they are all good reasons but nobody is hitting the nail on the head. I think this team lost its fire, when they cut Merriman and Florence. If you ask me who the team leader on any top defense is, you can name them, correct? But who leads this Bills D? Barnett? Williams (either one)? I think Dflo, and Merriamn (and even Whitner to an extent) were key elements to getting the defense fired up when things get tough. It seems there is a group of very talented football players, who roll over when things get tough, instead of getting tougher. Does anyone else see this? I mean Kelsey was signed to be a leader in the lockeroom correct? Maybe he should step up, or maybe it should be Kelvin Sheppard? I am just venting on what i see, but i dont see that leader on this defense.
