I have been cheering for Fitz to be good. Hoping is probably a better word, but after today I am just really fed up. I know most have been fed up with this team for 12 years + but this is seriously a joke. There is no way Arizona should have been in that game at all. There is no way they should have had a chance to win the game at the end. A lot was coaching yes, and thats a topic for another discussion, but seriously folks Fitz was darn right awful. Luckily the defense came to play. He consistently missed Stevie Johnson, throwing low, behind and sailing passes over his head. I felt nervous for his safety the way he was leading him into danger with some throws. Its OBVIOUS Johnson is frustrated. He consistently beats his guy and is wide open and he can't even come close to getting him the ball.

Towards the end of the game I have NO IDEA why Spiller was not touching the ball. He busts off a 20 yard run, puts them in almost field goal range in OT and we throw the ball three times into the dirt. Yea yea it all worked out because Byrd saved the day, but seriously I KNOW we will not win or make the playoffs with this Quarterback play. He had I think it was Jones wide open on a would be 3rd down conversion on that drive and threw it at his feet. He got time. Kudos to the guys stepping in for the injured guys on the O-line.

BOTTOM LINE: Spiller needs ball more #1. #2, Coaching is very questionable throwing out of wildcat with the game basically won. #3 Fitz needs to go ASAP. We need to trade for Matt Flynn, Cousins or someone who has some upside and is young at the position. I guess that guy was Jackson but he apparently isn't good enough to even suit up and we wasted a draft pick on him?? I am sorry for this rant, but with that performance, it is very apparent that we need to turn the page. He can't make throws, especially down field. We had WR's that are getting open. He looks worse than most High School Quarterbacks. I know after today we are not going anywhere for the foreseeable future unless a change is made, and we need to make it soon. Grab Cousins and work him into the lineup this year and cut Fitz at the end of the season. Save some money! Do something, Draft one! I don't care but we need to move on b/c we will not go anywhere with a QB that can't take over a game that should have been won easily. I like the guy, he is a great guy and I want him to be good, but he is not and we need to realize this as an organization sooner than later.....Thoughts?
