The anger on this blog is palpable, in no small part due to our recurring battle with our Tennessee counterparts over their unfortunately-named blog. But it begs the larger question: why does it bother us so much? Salt doesn't bother a wound that is fully healed.
The Titans ruined the Bills most recent trip to the playoffs. That was a soul-crushing 13 years ago. Our more recent battles with the Titans have been similarly unfortunate, with our Bills seemingly coming up short while getting run over by the likes of Vince Young (in 2006) and Chris Johnson (in 2011). The last four matchups were:
12/04/2011 Tennessee Titans: 23 - Buffalo Bills: 17
11/15/2009 Tennessee Titans: 41 - Buffalo Bills: 17
12/24/2006 Tennessee Titans: 30 - Buffalo Bills: 29
12/14/2003 Tennessee Titans: 28 - Buffalo Bills: 26
Granted, the Titans don't reach the level of the Pats or the Jets (and maybe Phins), our divisional rivals. But, I'd posit that as far as a non-divisional rival, the Titans might even be worse than the Cowboys. Thoughts?
