Let me tell you a story about a football game. One team is favored to win, but over the course of the game their very weak defense allows four scoring drives of over 50 yards. Meanwhile, their offense is clicking (the QB will finish with a completion percentage of 62%, with a 6.8 yard average per attempt), but it gives up two devastating turnovers in the second half.

With a six point lead at the end of the 4th, the favored team can’t keep possession, and the underdog team’s fairly average quarterback completes an improbable TD pass to take a one point lead. On the last minute drive, the favored team gains 8 yards and promptly turns it over on downs. They lose the game by one.

Sound familiar?

It’s the Patriots loss to the Seahawks. The biggest difference? Fitz had a better day than Brady (77%, 6.4 ypa, 3 TDs, 1 INT to Brady’s 62%, 6.8 ypa, 2 TDs 2 INTs).

I don’t really have a point, just thought it was interesting. Maybe the moral of the story is “We can bounce back!”? Or maybe not.
