Wildcard Race...

A few days ago, I saw a comment in a discussion board about the playoffs and immediately thought to myself - "playoffs? don't talk about playoffs...."

But, as painful as the subject is - we are still only a HALF GAME out of the 5th seed in the playoffs. Can week make it?? I don't know, but as of today, no wild card contender is above .500 in the AFC. If we make it to 9-7, we would have a shot. Will we make it? I don't know.

Anyway, below are the teams we are fighting with, and their strength of schedule the rest of the way.

Broncos - 3-3 - (20% of remaining games are against teams that are currently .500 or better)

Chargers - 3-3 - (30% of remaining games are against teams that are currently .500 or better)

Colts - 3-3 - (30% of remaining games are against teams that are currently .500 or better)

Steelers - 3-3 - (50% of remaining games are against teams that are currently .500 or better)

Dolphins - 3-3 - (50% of remaining games are against teams that are currently .500 or better)

Bengals - 3-4 - (77% of remaining games are against teams that are currently .500 or better)

Jets - 3-4 - (44% of remaining games are against teams that are currently .500 or better)

Titans - 3-4 - (55% of remaining games are against teams that are currently .500 or better)

Bills - 3-4 - (44% of remaining games are against teams that are currently .500 or better)

So, at first glance, the Colts, Chargers and Broncos look to have the clearest toute to the playoffs. Fortunately, either the Chargers or the Broncos will win the division. And since Andrew Luck is a rookie, he could falter down the stretch. Could it be that the season finale in Buffalo against the Jets decides the 6th and final wild card spot?

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
