49ers 45, Bills 3: Yet Another Soul-Sucking Defeat

The Buffalo Bills were blown out 45-3 by the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. They have been outscored 90-10 and have given up 1,201 yards of offense in their last six quarters of "football".

I'm not precisely sure what sport the Buffalo Bills have been playing over the last six quarters, but it sure as hell wasn't professional football.

The San Francisco 49ers beat the Bills 45-3 today. Since taking a 21-7 lead on the New England Patriots early in the third quarter of Week 4, the Patriots and 49ers have combined to outscore the Bills 90-10. San Francisco put up 621 yards of total offense on the day, meaning that the Bills have given up 1,201 yards of offense in the last two games. Yeah, that's over 200 yards per quarter on average.

Alex Smith completed 18-of-24 passes for 303 yards and three touchdowns. Frank Gore ran for 106 yards and a touchdown, Kendall Hunter added 81 yards, Smith had 49, Colin Kaepernick had 39 and a touchdown, and Anthony Dixon had 21 and a touchdown. For those keeping track, that's 310 yards through the air and 311 on the ground, making it 558 rushing yards given up in the last two weeks.

I'd give you more stats, but they're also hilariously mind-numbingly grotesque that you already get the point. It's so bad, in fact, that everything else that happened in the game - the turnovers, the tepid coaching and the quitting - are completely and utterly irrelevant.

If you still have words to spew about this team, by all means, let 'em loose below. I've got nothing left to offer today. See you in the morning.
