Well after another amazing defeat i think its safe to say the opponents know are defense and how to beat it
To be honest it isnt that hard to figure out what the defense is going to do the defense is a straight forward my front four vs your front five no deceptions no decoys just straight forward power defense
if we are going to continue in the power defense scheme i would vote for a move from the 4/3 to the 5/2
my thought process is not one single lineman can be double teamed our deficiency at linebacker could be masked with having barnett and shep
heres what a base 5/2 would look like
in this base formation you could place Anderson or Moats at the W depending on the down and distance and placed on the either side
in motion
M = W in this slide
and a variation inside matchup overloading the inside of the pocket with the ends running containment
would pull the extra end for another DT
again in motion
against a 4 wide set
the 5/2 can mask some of our problems and put a 1 on 1 situation with the line we gotta do something the 5/2 may not be the long term answer but could it get any worse?
