Bills vs. Patriots: Aaron Hernandez Won't Play, Per ESPN.com

For the fourth time in his three-year career, New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez will miss a game against the Buffalo Bills. That according to ESPN.com's Adam Schefter, who writes that Hernandez will not play in his second straight game while dealing with complications to an ankle injury.

That's good news for the Bills, who have only had to play against Hernandez twice in six tries through his first three NFL seasons. Why is that good news, you ask? Because in the two games Hernandez did suit up against the Bills, he combined for 13 receptions, 203 yards and a touchdown. Oh, and he added three carries for 39 yards, too. You read that correctly: Hernandez averages 13 yards per carry in his career against Buffalo.

New England activated Visanthe Shiancoe from the injured list to fill Hernandez' role in the offense, but clearly, the Bills will once again focus all of their attention on another, much more productive Pats tight end: Rob Gronkowski. The Western New York native has 27 catches, 418 yards and eight touchdowns in five career games against Buffalo, scoring at least once in all five contests.
