The Buffalo Bills will be without three starters against the New England Patriots, including veteran defensive end Chris Kelsay.
The Buffalo Bills will take the field at Gillette Stadium this afternoon without the services of two starters, as well as a third player that may as well be considered one. That player is defensive end Chris Kelsay, who will not play after missing practice Thursday and Friday with a neck injury.
Out, too, are defensive end Mark Anderson and cornerback Aaron Williams, who are both dealing with knee injuries. Replacing those two players in the starting lineup: Kyle Moore (who technically is replacing Kelsay as well) and Leodis McKelvin.
The Bills have four healthy scratches on the day: quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, offensive tackle Thomas Welch, linebacker Kirk Morrison and defensive back Mana Silva.
With those seven players out of the lineup, there are a couple of notable active players today. 2010 fourth-round wide receiver Marcus Easley will be active for the first time in his three-year career, though how much playing time he will get remains to be seen. Also active: cornerback Crezdon Butler, another third-year player that was signed from the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad just this week. He'll serve as the Bills' fifth corner against the New England Patriots.
