Patriots 34, Bills 31 After Donald Jones Touchdown

Seven minutes and 47 seconds remain in today's game between the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots. Donald Jones just caught a touchdown pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick, and the Bills have suddenly climbed to within 34-31 of the home team.

The touchdown capped off a wild sequence of events that began with Fred Jackson fumbling at the Patriots' one-yard line as he was making an extra effort for the end zone. Initially ruled down by contact, a Bill Belichick review gave the ball to New England on their own one-yard line.

Buffalo's defense came through with a quick three-and-out on the ensuing Pats possession, as Tom Brady threw three straight incompletions. The ensuing Zoltan Mesko punt gave the ball to Buffalo in New England territory, and the Bills had narrowly avoided disaster.

Then Buffalo took advantage of the situation, driving down inside the Patriots' five-yard line before Fitzpatrick found Jones from just a few yards out on a 3rd and Goal. Now the defense has to step up again if the Bills want to do more than scrap for a moral victory at Gillette Stadium.
