Torn about Chan Gailey

This is my first post and I just wanted to talk about Chan Gailey real quick. What do you guys think about him after the Pats game. I really don't know what to think about him. I want to like him, and he's done a lot of positives.

First, I love what he has done with the offense. Even with Fitzpatrick's limits in throwing down the field, he has made this my favorite Bills offense in the past decade. This offense is better than the Mcgahee, Bledsoe offense. The plays are complex, the freedom Gailey gives Stevie to run his routes are great, and he has made the Bills into a great running team out of shotgun which I love. After seeing the Bills give it their absolute all the past two games I think that Gailey has not lost this team. The players are giving it their all, whether they play home or away, and credit has to be given to Chan for this.

With all the positives though, I still don't know if he should be brought back next year. For some reason his play calling becomes garbage in the 4th quarter (i.e. Wildcat in Arizona, throwing vs Tennessee, going to Graham vs Pats). Also, its obvious Spiller needs to be getting way more touches to everyone other than Gailey. However my biggest peeve with Chan is his lack of emotion on the sidelines. I saw no reaction from him when the PI was called even though it was uncatchable by a mile. I see the great coaches like Coughlin, Tomlin, Harbaughs theres so much more fire there. Even though Fitz is incredibly average I love him because he'll get in Spikes face, why can't the head coach show some of that fire?

I know its been talked about a lot, but Gailey is just such a confusing coach. I kind of want to see what he can do with a young 1st round qb, and a new defense coordinator; but I kind of want someone that will change our repetition. They say a team takes the personality of its coach and in this case i don't know if thats a positive or negative.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
