Boy is it nice to wake up after a Bills W!!! We narrowly squeeked it out but a huge thank you goes out to the Defense and Special Teams for bringing this one home!
0-4 in the Red Zone...really? Spiller not in the game at the end of the first half when we're in the Red Zone...really? "Power Running" to try and run the clock out at the end of the game when we NEVER use formations like that...really? The Wildcat again on 3rd down...really? You get my point...Gaily has a lot of QUESTIONABLE play calls even in a win.
We've all heard it before and it almost came true last night...you can't win games on FG's...you need TD's and outside of McKelvin's punt return, our Offense couldn't "finish." Yes Gailey finally figured it out and realized that Spiler needs to have a lot of touches but he still gave up too much time to Choice! Choice is not a fit for Gailey's offense by any stretch of the imagination. Not only did Choice take screens away from Spiller but he also took Red Zone plays away from him and that is absolutely unacceptable. There is no way that your #1 player should be on the sidelines in that situation. Yes, maybe for a play if he needs a breather after a big run, but he needs to be there the rest of the time and Gaily dropped the ball...again.
Is it just me or is everyone seeing this? Going forward, Spiller needs to be the feature back with 20+ touches EASILY and Jackson / Choice need to be complimentary backs with maybe 10 touches. Jackson should be given more obviously.
It would be nice if Nix would figure out that Gailey isn't cut out for a HC job like he finally figured out Fitz isn't a franchise quarterback. At least we won, are at 4-6, have 10 days to prepare for the Colts and have a small glimmer of hope for the playoffs. Go Bills!!!
