Colts Lead Bills 20-6; T.Y. Hilton Nabs Second Touchdown

Stay connected for news and updates

Buffalo Bills fans could feel this game slipping away in a very frustrating first half, and now they face a two-score deficit with 19:02 left to play, trailing the Indianapolis Colts 20-6.

T.Y. Hilton, who returned a punt 75 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter to give the Colts an early 7-0 lead, hauled in an eight-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Luck to double Indy's lead. That play capped off a 15-play, 87-yard scoring drive that saw the Colts convert on several third and longs, including a 3rd & 17 just prior to the touchdown play.

Hilton scored his second touchdown after missing part of the second quarter with what appeared to be a head injury. Returning a punt in the second quarter, Hilton took a major hit to the helmet from Bills linebacker Nigel Bradham, and was down on the field for several moments before eventually walking off on his own. Now he's back, and he's hurting the Bills just the same as he did in the first quarter.

Ryan Fitzpatrick now holds the keys to Buffalo's playoff chances. Unless he can orchestrate a furious comeback in the last quarter-plus, the Bills will fall to 4-7 and out of playoff relevance.
