Bills Pull To Within 20-13 Of Colts After Lee Smith Touchdown

The Buffalo Bills are continuing to toy with the emotions of their fans. After falling behind 20-6 and looking all but DOA against the Indianapolis Colts, they come right back with a touchdown drive to make it a one-score game.

Lee Smith, of all people, did the honors, catching a one-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick on a 2nd & Goal play-fake from the one-yard line. Just to underline just how futile the Bills have been in the red zone, Smith ran square into an umpire before recovering to make a contested grab on what should have been a wide open route.

It was C.J. Spiller, however, that made the drive for the Bills. He cranked off a 41-yard rush on the first play of the drive to kick-start the Bills' anemic attack, surpassing 100 rushing yards on the day in the process. It's his second 100-yard rushing game of the 2012 season. Donald Jones also hauled in a well-designed middle screen that, had Fitzpatrick not thrown three feet above Jones' head, likely would have yielded a touchdown as well.

Buffalo now trails 20-13 with 11:30 remaining in the ball game.
