Here is the, pretty much consensus, Top 6 QB's (no particular order) and their WR's.
These are the guys that the word "Elite" gets tagged on to.
Aaron Rodgers: 1-0 in Super Bowls. 1 SB MVP. 1 NFL MVP.
- Jordy Nelson: 3rd rd WR that was a converted Safety in college.
- Randall Cobb: 2nd rd.
- James Jones: 3rd rd.
Tom Brady: 3-2 in Super Bowls. 2 SB MVP's. 2 NFL MVP's.
- Wes Welker: UDFA
- Brandon Lloyd: 4th rd.
- Rob Gronkowski: 2nd rd.
Drew Brees: 1-0 in Super Bowls. 1 SB MVP. Most passing yards in a season in NFL history.
- Marques Colston: 7th rd.
- Devery Henderson: 2nd.
- Jimmy Graham: 3rd rd.
Peyton Manning: 1-1 in Super Bowls. 1 SB MVP. 4 NFL MVP.
- Demaryius Thomas: 1st rd.
- Eric Decker: 3rd rd.
- Brandon Stokely: 4th rd.
Eli Manning: 2-0 in Super Bowls. 2 SB MVP's.
- Hakeem Nicks: 1st rd.
- Victor Cruz: UDFA
- Reuben Randle: 2nd rd.
Ben Rothlisberger: 2-1 in Super Bowls. 2004 NFL ROY.
- Mike Wallace: 3rd rd.
- Emanuel Sanders: 3rd rd.
- Antonio Brown: 6th rd.
Now as you can see, thats only 6. (And their top 3 targets aren't all 1st round guys.) But 6 out of 32 teams have an elite QB. But these 6 guys are responsible for 10 of the last 11 Super Bowl victories... and Their losses have all came at each others expense. This is the type of player we need. I just dont understand the talk on here that "we dont need THAT GUY" or "Fitz is good enough, but..."
Enough of this.
We deserve better in Buffalo, and I cant believe that people are OK with Nix taking 3 years to realize he needs to bring in a Stud QB.
What we've seen, supported and followed every minute of every day for as long as we can remember is not good enough. Fitz is not the answer. Please don't get fooled into believe he is "good enough," because hes not.
