I swear watching TJ Graham and the routes Gailey is having him run is nothing like what we we told why we drafted him... He was suppose to be a "burner" and take the top off a defense. This was so that it would open up the underneath stuff to Stevie, Jones, Nelson (when he was healthy), and Chandler, etc. The only way that I see us throwing the ball deep over the top is to Spiller and or Jackson when the split wide and get a LB or safety to have to cover them man to man. Even then Fitzpatrick has a hard time dropping the ball into a place that our receivers can catch the ball.
Our OL has been playing pretty well for most of the year. However, did any one of them care to watch any game film of the Houston pass rush before this game? I swear JJ Watt is like their biggest guy out there and how many times did he go unblocked and cream Fitzpatrick? You would think they would have had him accounted for every play and shifted the pass rush to be sure we had a few guys on him... It is amazing Fitzpatrick is not hurt (although someone on the medical staff might want to check his ribs unlike last year's debacle)
Corey McIntyre has no role on our football team. Sure he is a lead blocker and Full-back, plus he is on special teams, but if we are ever going to have Spiller on the field more, we have to do it with having him and Jackson on the field together and using a lot of formations and shifts to get those guys open. McIntyre has not had any impact in any of our games. Lee Smith can replace him at FB when needed.
Sheppard played better this week, but still doesn't make many impactful plays. We need some better production from all our LB's especially with such a strong front 4.
Will the Bills draft a place kicker before they draft a QB next year? Had Lindell missed another one from less than 40 yards, he might be the next veteran the Bills give the "boot" to during the season.
There were a lot of impressive QB performances from college football players this past weekend... We'll need a weekly QB watch as a regular topic on BR.
3-5 and heading to New England for the Brady Bunch. To me this is the "Bills playoff game" right here. By December there will be no "meaningful" games left to be played. Not that I am considering the Bills have a shot at the playoffs this year, but they can really set the tone for turning things around by going into Gillette Stadium and upsetting the Patsy's who will probably be more than a 2-touchdown favorite.
