Good morning fellow Rumblers, I am writing a post about something I have been reading on here a lot lately. It seems that many are down on this QB class because there is no Andrew Luck or RGIII type player this year. That fact is making many of us here not want a first round QB. Ever since people have been saying that it has bothered me. The whole hype on Andrew Luck was that he was the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning, so why would anyone expect that there would be another one a year later? I know the real argument is that there is no can't miss prospect in this year's draft class. Well say hello to drafting a QB. Look at all the great QB's in this league almost none were considered can't miss prospects. The only one I can think of is Peyton Manning, and those types come around once every ten years. If you don't have the first pick that year then you have to evaluate players who have a red flag or two. Concerning RGIII, I don't know if there has ever been a QB like him. The closest would be Michael Vick, but he didn't have the arm RGIII does when he came out of college(or now.) It's a statistical anomaly that both happen to be available in the same class in the first place. I think that most just don't trust the Bills scouts and GM to find the right guy. We have missed so many times before so I understand the reservation, but at some point we have to try. Listening to Buddy Nix this morning on WGR I am more convinced than ever that he has a certain guy in mind. He said that at some point you have to trade up and take the guy you like a round earlier than you think he might go. I see us taking an impact WR or LB with our first pick and then trading back into the first to get his guy. Here's to hoping that his guy is the right guy.
