Mike Glennon = Matt Ryan?

With Mike Glennon seeming to be the current favorite QB prospect for many Rumblers, I decided to check out a couple of his game clips, FSU (2012) & UNC (2012), on YouTube. Matt Ryan came to mind as I was watching these clips; not sure if I see a similarity in talent/playing style, or just a similar situation, with sup-par talent that leaves plays on the field around on him on offense.

After watching, I decided to check out both of their stats, and found some striking similarities. Below I'm listing tables with both of their career stats and, because Glennon attempted less passes, I added an extra box with his career numbers extrapolated to the same career attempts as Ryan. I should add that I realized they were both coached (and recruited?) by Tom O'Brien, albeit at different schools; this could be the main reason for the similarities in stats and/or style.

Since they are QB's, we probably should also consider W/L records. Because I also wanted to look at Team Offensive and Defensive numbers, I'm just using the last two years of both careers; the only two years both started the full season.

I do not come close to possessing a trained scouting eye so I'm mainly posting this to find out if any of the Rumblers more adept at scouting, rather than simply watching as I do, sees any similarity between these two.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
