The New York Jets have grabbed a 9-7 lead on the Buffalo Bills after Nick Folk connected on a 28-yard field goal for his third successful try of the game. Here are a few notes worth pointing out at this point:
- The Jets got a 40-yard passing play to Bilal Powell to convert a third down, but the play was nullified by an Austin Howard holding penalty. On the next play, on a 3rd-and-16, Mark Sanchez hit Jeremy Kerley on a short swing pass that Kerley took 40 yards for a first down. That's a very Bills thing that happened right there.
- The Jets have run 36 plays on offense thus far today, while the Bills have nine. New York has run the football 25 times for 122 yards, and obviously have a massive advantage in time of possession, as well.
- It doesn't really look like either team is particularly interested in winning this football game. That's particularly true of the Bills, who have been awful all day save for one big play from Bryan Scott.
