With rumors of organizational changes swirling, Chan Gailey and the Buffalo Bills finally managed to beat Rex Ryan and the New York Jets, closing their season at 6-10 with a 28-9 victory.

In a game that many Buffalo Bills fans wanted to see their favorite team lose, Chan Gailey - in perhaps his final game as the team's head coach - was finally able to beat Rex Ryan and the New York Jets, getting plenty of big plays in a 28-9 victory. Buffalo finishes the 2012 season where they ended the 2011 season: 6-10.

C.J. Spiller scored the go-ahead touchdown for the Bills in the second quarter, when he caught a short screen pass and raced 66 yards up the middle of the field for a score. That put the Bills up 14-9, and the team never looked back. Spiller did not break Jim Brown's single-season record for yards per rush - he carried 24 times for 59 yards - but he recorded 131 yards from scrimmage on the day.

Stevie Johnson did get into the record books, however; in hauling in a 37-yard reception on a touchdown drive in the fourth quarter, he surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the third straight season. He's the first receiver in Bills history to reach that achievement.

Bryan Scott opened the scoring for Buffalo with a 20-yard interception return in the first quarter; following Spiller's big play, Brad Smith (out of the Wildcat formation) and Tashard Choice recorded rushing touchdowns to seal the win.

With the 2012 season officially in the books, the clock is officially ticking on the job status of Gailey, who is now 16-32 through three seasons as head coach. All indications at this point are that Gailey will lose his job; we should have a much clearer picture on that front within the next 24-48 hours. Until then, we'll be pondering draft positioning and relishing what we can in kicking the Jets while they're down. It's officially the off-season, Bills fans. It's go time!
