Last week, we introduced a new FanPost feature called METATHREAD, which gives us an opportunity to have conversations about the blog and our community without injecting these meta tangents into our daily Buffalo Bills discussions.
This thread may be used for any blog or community-related discussion or question that you have; consider it a catch-all for those thoughts. As a conversation starter, however, I wanted to ask the group at large about our Community Guidelines.
I have three questions in particular:
- How many of you have actually read some or all of the guidelines?
- Is there any aspect (or are there any aspects) of the guidelines that you consider unfair?
- If there were one rule that you'd like to see changed, what would it be?
We are considering a major overhaul to our community guidelines, which are already in the process of being re-written and will likely be implemented sometime this off-season. We're really fleshing out the language to make things more clear-cut, and we're also going to implement some simple new rules (example: we're probably going to relax our no-swearing rules in live game threads, as we understand that sometimes things just happen in the heat of the moment).
Again, this METATHREAD can be used for any blog-related topic this week, but we're especially interested in the community's feedback on our guidelines. Let's make this a thoughtful and constructive discussion, folks. Thanks!
