Reed out of patience with HOF Selectors - BuffaloBills.com
"Whoever is listening if the voters are listening, the committee, they haven’t heard one word from me. I just sit back and let it fall, which I did on Saturday. I was very disappointed. I was more disappointed for family and friends than me. They need to do something about it. What they’re doing is a travesty. I don’t know. If I was a fly on the wall in there I’d turn into a big mosquito and bite all of them."

Metzelaars arrives as tight ends coach - CBSSports.com
As an outsider new on the job, new quarterbacks coach David Lee said Buffalo's offense doesn't need an overhaul, just a tuneup. "These guys were 14th in the league in offense last year, there's 18 other teams that would love to have been 14th. So, we're not fixing something that is broken here, we just need to keep moving the football and climb closer to the top 10 offensively."

I agree with Andre.
What they’re doing is a travesty
The HOF voters are not taking into account the rules changes which has made the NFL a more QB friendky pass driven league, if a guy who finishes #2 in receptions when his career ends doesn’t belong in the HOF after 5 years of eligibility, then who does?
Look at what they did to Art Monk. The HOF voting process is a joke when it comes to WRs because these pencil necks HOF voters in suits can’t account for rules changes in the passing game when it comes to their stats, when deciding to vote in a player from a different era of the game.

You will always be in the HOF Andre.
In my book.
Screw these pencil necks.

Reed never led the league in any receiving category in any year of his career. He was 2nd in receptions in 1989, and that was the only time in ANY category he was among the 4 best at his position. He has a few 5th and 6th places sprinkled in there, but there never was a season you thought he was the best WR, and outside of 1989 you probably can’t even argue he was among the top 4 WRs in the league in any single year.
Where Reed excelled was being a very good WR for a long time. I suspect voters like players that have the higher peak than a pretty good player for a really long time.
He’s making the top 10, but not the top 5. That seems about right to me (although you could argue that he’s a better option than some that did make it this year… it’s not an overwhelming class like next year).
Are you even a Bills Fan?
He was #2 in career receptions when he retired. Kely spread the ball around with Reed, Lofton, Thurman, Meetzelarrs, and later Bebe.
It was the blueprint of the new NFL, the era changed, yet Andre was still #2 in career receptions when he retired.

Are you even a Bills Fan?
Please. What’s with questioning his fandom just because he disagrees with you?
I could add here that I once met Andre Reed during his playing days while at an amusement park, and I thought he and his two friends with him were all colossal jerks. Does that make me not a Bills fan?

Routt
The fact that we’re even in contact with him is positive news in my view. but it would be fantastic if we could sign him. a true #1 CB.

agreed
I totally agree heff17. he could replace any one of our corners, plus florence will be on the other side.
we need to cut bottom tier players like McKelvin and Corner and just make room for guys like Routt.
Some of the names people come up with for their kids start the kids out neck deep in social hell.
just to reiterate
i do think it would be fantastic if he was signed. that was an accidental strike through.

I love Reed, but he need to stop complaining. It is not your right to be inducted into the hall of fame, it is a privilege. You deserve to get in for sure – no doubt about it, but keep your comments to yourself. I would wait three life times to be able to get into the hall of fame (which wont ever happen like the most of us).
I tend to agree. I still think Chris Carter gets in before he does.

Couple years more, recievers, will be added to the list making a big logjam at wr. It was less about him.not making it and more that himself carter and browm did not make it.

I’m not a big fan of the person Andre Reed, but I think what’s happening here is that every year and every cutdown within each year, he’s asked the same questions over and over. Who’s fault is it that his emotions show through? Yes, he could choose not to answer, and he probably should, but as in most every other situation, the insistence on “journalists” that they need to ask the same inane question over and over, ad nauseum, is one of the main culprits here.

The biggest travesty
is simply the fact that the WR position is one of the least populated positions in the HOF. And with Tim Brown, Carter and Reed all waiting there is a logjam and yet… they decide it’s a good idea to not let 1 of them in this year. It’s a weak class overall, I thought it’d be cool if they just made it a WR year and allowed all 3 in. But they had to of put ONE of them in to at least separate the logjam. I think Andre deserves for sure, but his numbers lack those other two guys so really the best thing that could’ve happened is getting one of them out of his way. Instead, they did what they did and now it will be a lonnnng wait for Mr. Reed. I’d put money on it that it takes at least 10 more years for him to get in.

Michael Jasper is such a good kid.
He is humble and thankful for the opportunity the Bills gave him. He consistantly does public service work with the school children (although, lots of the Bills players do too).
I wish him the best this year and Buffalo and hope he gets on the field at some point.
