Great Site for Learning Potential Draftees

I don't watch a lot of college football so the above link was great for me, the site has a great grading scale for potential draft picks and a great evaluation system.

From reading up on on all the OLB and DE they have evaluated i'd say I'm most high on Coples, Perry and Curry. They all seem like safe bets.

It gets a bit tougher with regards to Tackles and CBs though.

Cool Site but.......

I closed it the second I clicked DE’s and saw Melvin Ingram as the 8th best DE. Guy should be in the top 8 PLAYERS

I do not think many sites have him as a top 8 player. He has to many weakness. If we talk about pure pass rusher he is fine but in other departments he is very lacking.

This is where I get my top 250 (or so) player list each year, but their actual selection spots are lacking, IMO. They will ballpark the round, fairly well, usually. But by no means do i put a lot of stock in their “slotting” sometimes. But all in all, they provide a nice comprehensive list.

I’ve been using most of those site the past couple years but I just wanted to recognize the service you do when you bother to gather and post resources like that. I think that’s the kind of effort that makes a site like this worthwhile. Thanks.

no prob. doesn’t take long, and isn’t much more than a google search, but if someone is reading this post, they might find it convenient. i don’t expect any of them are any kind of “secret” but there are SO many, that sometimes getting someone else’s preference, helps you sort the junk from the worthy.

Further, I like NFP but I ignore any site that shows me craziness in the top 10. Last year they didn’t have Cam Newton in the first round? I know its their own opinions but until they’re GM’s they should just go by public opinion

not crazy about Kiper.

Some people swear by him (they way I do Mayock) but truthfully, I think though he gets top prospects slotted in decent rank, he RARELY hits on the WHERE. He might name the top 20, but not what team will take them. Sure, tons of things factor in, and all it takes is a couple wrong selections, and it is dominoes, but I look at him as kinda a typical meteorologist. He is likely to be right, pretty often, but only on the ballpark, because far too many variables go into getting it EXACTLY right. Of course, that doesn’t mean I am not still going to listen to what the weather man has to say. But 30-40% chance of rain still = bring an umbrella, at least for me.

Mayock also only really ballparks guys as well, but I personally feel like his assessments are fairly spot on, because he invests a TON of time into it.
