I don’t need to hear about this story or that story, this comment or that comment that came up. I’m just going to trust his work and do what I do in the offseason and let him bring me back what he’s got when it’s all finalized and that’s it."

Unnecessary bluntness by Brady - Jerry Sullivan

Stevie’s sound bite is encouraging, but we have to face up, that script was written in the agent’s office.
It positions him well going into the next few months. It works as a negotiation tactic, reminding the team why he’s so popular among fans – which I think you pay a premium for even if it doesn’t translate on the Moneyball scale. It also positions him well if he hits free agency. GM’s who might have reservations because of his primadonna behavior know that its harmless as far as that stuff goes – its not an overbearing ego with bad attitude that you see so much of at the position – its the eagerness of a puppy.
They need to lock him up and get on with it. We know what we get – a solid receiver with potential to be even better as he matures and continues to develop as a professional, and a great personality to have as the face of the team. I want to enjoy watching this guy grow up and hopefully become a superstar.
Get it done – under the new agreement the Bills have to spend the minimum without having to worry about onerous rookie contracts. This is as good an investment as any facing the team right now.

That article by Tim Graham
was annoying. Who cares what Damien Woody thinks about Buffalo? I could go on and on about how Buffalo is not a terrible city as the perception is. And it gets annoying that people who have no idea what they are talking about voice their opinions.
With the 10th Pick in the 2012 NFL Draft the Buffalo Bills select Dont'a Hightower LB Alabama.
But that was exactly Tim’s point. He wanted to show Buffalonians that when athletes come to town they drive from the airport past a run-down portion of the city to the arena or out to Orchard Park. That is all they see. So when trying to get players to sign here, perception matters. Sabres big shot Ted Black has said the same thing in WGR interviews.
