2012 Bills Draft Strategy: With Either Coples or Ingram at LDE, Bookend DE Strategy in First Two Rounds

The other possible variant here, now that I've gotten over the psychological hump of assigning the higher draft pick to LDE and the second round pick to RDE, is the idea of taking Quinton Coples, if he falls to #10 (a 50/50 chance right now) for LDE and taking the best RDE candidate still on the board at #41 (i.e., Perry; Mercilus; Branch; Curry). Again, the bookend DE strategy, but this time with Coples at LDE instead of Ingram.

Either way would work to the Bills' advantage and be a great way to use their strong draft position and the available talent to resolve the biggest single problem their 2012 defense has at DE/edge pass rusher. I know a lot of people are questioning Coples' heart/effort but his talent and physique are unquestionably desirable and especially if you cast him at LDE and still have a good RDE prospect to bookend with him...

The bookend DE strategy looks extremely viable to me, whether you start with either Coples or Ingram at LDE. I wonder if/how CHIX is looking at the top end of this draft and how they might play this...
